Western Psychology offers psychological therapy to young people and adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and substance use. Western Psychology provides evidence-based interventions including Psychoeducation, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and Problem Solving.
Founder
Diem Smith, the founder of Western Psychology, is a Registered Psychologist and AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor. She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (APPi) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Diem has worked in various settings including schools, juvenile justice, youth homelessness, hospital outpatient, drug and alcohol, and public mental health. Diem takes a client-centred approach, assisting clients to reduce their distress while achieving their treatment goals.
